Blanket is Size 54" with a 2.5" adjustment smaller 51.5" and larger 56.5"
From the fleece that sits on the wither (start of blanket) to the end where tail piece attaches...is 43.75-44"
The length from the center of the back to the bottom of the blanket (perpendicular) is 33 inches (times 2 because that is the fall on each side).
The length is 54" when measured to the center hole on the 2 chest straps attaching the blanket from each side. There is a 2 inch adjustment possible in each direction (smaller and larger). But remember, when you take it in, the neck hole gets smaller too. When you let it out, the neck hole gets larger. Because of the way a donkey's neck is placed on his shoulders, it does seem to do better at fitting them than it does a horse, if you need to let it out at the neck. ____________________________________________________________
From the original TOUGH-1. Medium/Heavyweight. Designed without a back seam to prevent leaking. Made of 600 denier ripstop poly outer shell with waterproof 210 lining, 250 grams of poly fill. Fleece wither protection. Crossed surcingles with elastic ends. Adjustable leg straps with elastice ends. Double buckle front. Shoulder gussets allow freedom of movement.
This is our TOP selling blanket!!!! Here are just A FEW of the reasons it is:
First of all, it's waterproof poly outer shell makes ice, snow and rain...roll right off! AND...without a back-seam, there are no leaks!
Secondly...The shoulder gussets, with a very generous seam that opens wide when the horse moves, ELIMINATES the shoulder rubbing other blankets can cause, making the area hairless and sometimes becoming sore and raw from the constant rubbing, especially when left on for long periods of time (like you need to do in the winter especially in the more Northern States).
Thirdly...The crossed surcingles with elastic ends along with the adjustable legstraps...make it EXTREMELY difficult for the "escape artist" to take his blanket off! How many times have you gone out to feed on a cold winter morning...to find your horse standing there "naked and shivering" with his blanket laying on the ground or under his feet...all stomped on?
Another reason...the double buckle in the front enables for a 3 inch (plus/minus) adjustment in size. This could come in handy for a variety of reasons including weight gain or loss and double blanketing (if you need to body clip in the dead of winter for a show and feel that you should "layer clothing!")
The tail piece is put on the blanket in such a way that your horse is STILL able to move his tail without the restraint other tail pieces cause.
The neck hole is snug and does not sit low on the neck causing more comfort on cold windy days and nights. The fleece wither protection adds to the comfort at the mane plus deters rubbing from the blanket in that area.

How to measure for your blanket:
SIZE & MEASUREMENT
The easiest way to determine the size needed is to take a side measurement. Start from the middle of the chest and measure around one side to the rump (next to edge of the tail). That measurement is the size of the blanket or sheet needed. If the measurement is a 72, you would order a 72 blanket or sheet! The front adjustment will allow additional room as needed (for growth or if double blanketing). If you have any questions or concerns or would like a more detailed explanation for measuring, please contact me at: ForMinisOnly@aol.com
PLEASE NOTE: This Blanket/Sheet is as waterproof as a tent or rain coat would be that is made of treated fabric. It is NOT as waterproof as PVC or any plastic sheeting would be. It is tested and labeled waterproof because ice, snowand rain do roll off of it. If it rains for an extended period of time, or water is puddled on the fabric, it may eventually seap through the neck hole. You should also note that many horses will "sweat" under their apparel making it appear as though water is leaking through the fibers. This “body cover” is not intended to be used in the place of a shelter.
