Finding the right halter size   Use a tape measure. Nose measurement:  Measure from just  below  the cheekbone,  around the  nose,  to just below  the cheekbone on the other side. Chin measurement:  Measure from just  below  the cheekbone,  around the  chin,  to just below  the cheekbone on the other side. Throat measurement:  Start at the ring near the eye where the crown strap is attached.  Measure from the center of the ring, under and around the throat to the ring on the other side near the eye. On a “PROPER FITTING HALTER,” the noseband will cross the nose and end a THUMB’S WIDTH below the cheekbone on BOTH sides!
